This one-day awareness-level training course aims to increase the awareness of the meaningful actions that a community can take to enhance resilience to natural hazards and opportunities to incorporate these actions into professional practice. Building community resilience requires a Whole Community Approach engaging the full capacity of the private and nonprofit sectors, including nongovernmental organizations and the general public, in conjunction with the participation of federal, state, and local governmental partners.
